Of the 156 players who participated in the PGA Championship, the second men's golf major this year, 16 were from LIV Golf.
The PGA of America (PGA), which organizes the PGA Championship, unveiled the list of players to participate in this year's tournament on the 7th (Korea time).
The PGA Championship grants 156 participants, including the previous winner and the winner of the last five years of the remaining three major championships. This year's championship has 29 winners from all major championships, three inductees from the World Golf Hall of Fame, and three former Ryder Cup captains.
With the number of players from LIV attracting attention whenever a major tournament is held, a total of 16 LIV players will participate in this tournament.
Brooks Koepka of the U.S., who won the championship three times in 2018, 2019 and 2023, and Phil Mickelson of the U.S., who set the record for the oldest major championship in the championship in 2021, also have two championship records.
